Vehicles and houses were destroyed, and a large number of residences has forfeit electrical power following powerful gusts of wind lashed Sydney and the Blue Mountains.

On Monday, the Sydney hit by another windstorm that damaged several trees and many fell on cars, houses, roads and even on power lines.

The severe windstorm created many incidents all over especially to Blue Mountains and western Sydney. Thousands of residents’ electricity shut down by damaging wind that was later restored by State Emergency Service with mutual support of Fire and Rescue NSW and Rural Fire Service.

According to NSW SES, they have received around 419 emergency calls from various parts of western Sydney and Blue Mountains for a different type of assistance that gradually ease once the wind calm down.

The biggest problem faced by NSW SES was with fallen and damaged trees that hit many cars, fell on houses roofs and many large ones with a number of bushes blocked many roads. Few large trees blocked the train service in Blue Mountains as those fell within the rail lines. However, replacement buses were arranged by local transport bodies to overcome the issue.

A 120kph and 100kph wind gust was recorded in the Blue Mountains and at Thredbo respectively.

Fallen trees damaged dozens of traffic lights, and several road blocks caused severe headaches.

The SES received lot many emergency help calls related to tree issues, and they had a report of a gigantic tree fallen on a home in Mt Riverview and at Glenbrook where a tree fell on three cars.
