A smarter way to manage tree services

March 2018 Newsletter

TreeManager 2

After 12 months of development we released version. 1 of TreeManager2 in December 2017. In February 2018 we released version. 1 of the TreeManager App. The reason for developing TreeManager2 are various-

  • We needed a more reliable platform
  • We needed increase speed
  • We needed a more flexible API (this allows integration into our clients portal)
  • Allow TreeManager2 to be licensed for use by Tree Partners and other trades
  • Data analysis and reporting for our clients
  • And the list goes on…

Enviro Frontier now has our own internal software development team and we collaborate/partner with the University of Technology in Sydney. Our software team is also part of other Enviro Frontier projects where we have collaborated with schools around a “bully” app and with sporting organisations in developing an App that links academies, clubs and players. If you have a project or idea you may want to develop or discuss “in confidence” please contact Shri at shri@envirofrontier.com.au or (02) 99828284 for an initial brain storm.

Training for TreeManager2 and App download

It is critical that you undertake training; if not done so please book in with Jeremy Hulme at admin@envirofrontier.com.au The App can be downloaded from Google Play store; search for TreeManager. For many Tree Partners that have downloaded the App it has made the process faster. Every few weeks we are upgrading the App. Already from site you can upload before and after photos, scheduling, communications, costing and substantiation. By mid-March you will be able to invoice from site, Google map directions & time, call directly the client. For those running more than one crew you can allocate a job to the other crew and they can load photos for you. By April you will be doing your site hazard and customer sign off and a list of other key features.

Clients

Enviro Frontier continues to work with our valued insurance clients. Our focus over the past months is partnering with those where we consider a value add for all parties (client, Enviro and our Tree Partners). Over the past six months we have been in collaboration, discussions and analysis with Core Logic/Cordell for tree cost (fixed guideline). Core Logic/Cordell are the leading providers of data to the insurance industry. Cordell provide the cost guideline on all building line items. Release of fixed cost will have a game changing impact on insurance tree work. Inclusive of Core Logic/Cordell on fixed tree cost we are collaborating directly with the insurance industry. I will update further on our next newsletter of what will be the significant benefits for our Tree Partners.

In the ACT we currently manage a considerable volume of regular works for a Government Housing Division for a national Facility Organisation. We commenced management of this contract in August 2017. We completed a presentation review in February 2018 to relevant senior managers and Enviro and our Tree Partners received A+ ratings. The Facility organisation is now looking to expand our tree services into other states. I expect this to be a gradual role out thru 2018 & 2019. In February; Brett and myself were requested to present the benefits of Enviro Frontier, TreeManager2 and our Tree Partners in the ACT to Government; our model is being reviewed in regards providing a national service to agencies. A key strategic focus for Enviro Frontier has been the securing of contracts where we can deliver consistency of works to our national network of Tree Partners.

New Zealand

We have been waiting to till TreeManager2 was completed to open in New Zealand. We have been requested by the largest loss adjuster in New Zealand to be the main provider for tree make safes and will commence undertaking jobs in April 2018. Thank you to some of our Australian TPs whom have assisted in connecting us with tree companies in NZ. If any other Tree Partner knows of a potential Tree Partner in NZ please let Brett know at operations@envirofrontier.com.au

SafeWork NSW alert

Every year people are seriously injured or killed while doing tree work. Most people injured have extensive experience in tree work. One of our quality Tree Partners – Bohmers Tree Care assisted in the making of the You Tube video. The video and links are educational; recommend you review and download the documents. Safety for you and your team has to always be first. www.safework.nsw.gov.au/health-and-safety/safety-topics-a-z/tree-trimming-removal-and-arborist-work
