Preparing your property06-Oct-2015
ARE YOU READY FOR THE BUSH FIRE AND STORM SEASON?
With the hot weather fast approaching what chores need to be completed? Storm and bush fire season occur together, that is from October to March. With
the confluence of strong dry winds and hot dry weather, caused by what is predicted to be our most significant El Nino event on record, it’s essential
to be prepared. Here is a link to a weather update of the effects of El Nino for the upcoming storm season: http://www.skynews.com.au/
“NRMA Insurance data shows that during the last financial year, almost half of all home insurance claims in NSW were made as a result of storm damage. This number surges during storm season with 77 per cent of annual storm-related claims occurring during the October to March period,” said NRMA Insurance Community and Sustainability Operations Manager, Lee McDougall.
