ACT Housing (Programmed Facility Management)

Objectives

To manage planned and reactive works across the Australian Capital Territory (ACT) for Programmed Facility Management, the head contractor managing all ACT Housing properties on behalf of the ACT Government.

This includes:

  • Working to a SOR (Schedule of Rates) for tree removal, pruning, stump grinding and other works.

  • Planned and reactive tree works across a range of tree types, heights, sizes.

  • Interfacing with tenants on site and arranging access for works, in an appropriate manner

  • Liaising with the local power authority to arrange power outages to allow tree works to occur



Challenges

  • The major challenges on this contract involve:

    • effective programming of works and

    • effective liaising with onsite public housing tenants.

    • The requirement to gain local power authority permits for power outages on many of these job sites.

    Our Tree Partners and customer care representatives are experienced in liaising with tenants and homeowners to arrange suitable site visitation schedules and to ensure clear communication of scope of works.



Solutions

A project team has been formed and is managed by our Enviro Trees Operations Manager, and supported by a dedicated group of Tree Partners in the ACT who carry out this work on our behalf. The project team also includes our customer care team with our FM coordinator, whose primary role is to oversee the day-to-day allocation of work amongst Tree Partners, scheduling of work to meet customer deadlines, quotation of quoted works, use of the Programmed portal for work order status updates, loading of quotations, supporting documentation.
