Facilities Maintenance tree works for QBuild

Objectives

Enviro Trees has recently been delivering tree works as part of the OneSolution Building Services, QBuild contract, throughout Southeast Queensland. QBuild is a vital part of Queensland’s $50 billion building and construction industry. As the Queensland Government’s builder, QBuild plays an important role in communities across the state by building and maintaining government-owned assets such as schools, social housing, police stations and correctional and health facilities.

Enviro Trees is experienced in providing arborist related services in the facilities management sector, with long standing customers including:

• Dept of Education (NSW),

• ACT Housing (via Programmed Facility Management),

• NSW Community housing companies such as Link Housing, Hume Housing, St George Housing, Women’s Housing (via Assett Group Services), and

• Defence Housing Authority (National)

• Enviro’s services include:

  • AQF level 3 and 5 arborist risk assessments.

  • Planned tree pruning and removal including clearances around property and powerlines.

  • Unplanned emergency tree make safe works.

  • Grounds maintenance.
    

Challenges

• The major challenge with this contract:

  • Effective scheduling of work that meets the clients timeline but also meets the onsite tenants requirements.

  • Liaison with a range of stakeholders including tenants, project managers and other third parties including power companies.

  • Poor access to properties and often very crowded working conditions.

Solutions

• A selection process, resulting in a panel of QBuild inducted EnviroTree Partners able to work across QBuild sites throughout Queensland.

• Enviro Trees manages the scheduling process and liaises with both our client and Tree Partners to ensure that any requested booking dates reflect the requests of QBuild and OneSolution Building Services.

• Maintaining clear and transparent communications with our Tree Partners to ensure that the requested works are understood & completed in line with the scope and customer deadlines.

• Job auditing is conducted at the end of each completed job to ensure that both resident and clients are satisfied with the service provided.
